  • Building a simple url shortener Every friday we have interview prep. It's suppossed to be an optional gathering for the ones who want to seek a job after the Recurse Center. Last friday the exercise was to build a simple url-shortener in a few hours. Basically what you had to do was set up some user-friendly web application that did the job.   • First #3 days The first day at the Recurse Center was extremely exciting, but also very overwhelming. The environment here is just amazing. You have a lot of freedom, which can be wonderful and scary at the same time. Everybody is free to choose any project they want and work on. I, however, didn't have a particular project in mind.
